Let an Autoresponder Save You Time

There are certain things that everyone must do to promote their internet marketing business, but when first starting out it is hard to realize how long certain tasks take. If you are just starting out in internet marketing, you may also be worried that your are not going to be successful enough to warrant paying for time saving tools.

At some point you may start becoming successful and making a little money, and by that time you will probably have realized which things take you forever to do, what you don't like doing, and what you could automate or outsource, leaving you to do the things you are good at.

One of the main reasons why you set up an opt-in box on your website or blog is to have people sign up. As your list grows you will soon see how long it takes to answer emails, and send information, newsletters etc., in a timely manner. More than a dozen or so subscribers and you are looking at a considerable amount of time implementing these tasks, and it's probably time you are using an autoresponder system.

The top autoresponder systems give you dozens of options for keeping your lists separate if you have more than one, and they can be set up to quickly respond to anyone who signs up, even while you are asleep or on vacation, and send out information if required. Yes it will cost you, but if the money is going to be in your list, you must have a good autoresponder service.

You can spend a couple of hours one day loading up information that the autoresponder can send out when you tell it to, so if you know you will be out of town on the day you wanted to send your monthly newsletter, you can set up the autoresponder to do it for you.

One autoresponder service that comes highly recommended is Aweber. There is a monthly fee for using it, but in terms of the time it will save you it will be invaluable. MailChimp offers a free service to those who are starting out, until their lists get to such a size that they have to start paying. This is an ideal system for those of you who are not quite sure if you are going to be successful or not - but you must always think positively!

Keeping in touch with your list is an essential part of relationship building. Don't bombard your list with useless garbage every day, you will be wasting your time and people will soon get tired of your spam and unsubscribe. Better to use a good autoresponder to send out valuable pieces of information at intervals. Depending on your kind of business or service, receiving an email once or twice a week is sufficient for most people.

Your emails should always contain something of value for your subscriber. Don't do what many amateur marketers do - everything they send out is a sales pitch for something, and it gets really old after a couple of weeks.

You should also give a great deal of thought to the headings you use for your emails. A bad title will mean that your email does not get opened, there's an art to writing email headers that we can't go into here, but basically they should grab the recipient's attention and entice them to open your email. Please spell check your email before it goes out, even if it means getting someone else to do it. I see far too many badly spelled emails that simply look unprofessional, and that makes many folks lose interest fast.

Keep your emails short and to the point. People don't want to read a thesis, so get to the point quickly, we're all busy.

You will be amazed how much time a good autoresponder system will save you, so you can do those things you really enjoy doing, and when you become successful and start making loads of money, that be going to the beach or shopping or even building more websites.
